How the NSLP Free Meal Program Works

Who qualifies automatically

  • • SNAP (food stamps) recipients — automatic, no application
  • • TANF (Temporary Assistance) households
  • • Foster children, homeless youth, migrant children
  • • Head Start or Even Start participants
  • • Students at Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools
