Families without stable housing under McKinney-Vento.
Programs can also enroll up to 10% of slots for families above the income limit at grantee discretion — ask your local program.
How to Apply for Head Start in Florida
Florida has Head Start programs in every county. Miami-Dade has the most slots; smaller rural counties may have just one grantee. Florida also has VPK (universal 4-year-old preschool) — families who qualify for Head Start can often access both.
